Doing a Step 3 - soloadmin - 05-07-2025 For me, my "higher power" is my 'buddha-nature,' conscience, "wise mind," "spiritual connection," or whatever links us all together in this place of being. To give life and will over to this entirely is not an easy process, but for me it has to start with willingness, surrender, and the recognition that the ego (self-centeredness) is at the center of our downfalls. It happens as we become ready for it, in part "due to the terrific beating administered by alcohol*" as one writer put it, and also in part because we become closer to humility, a foundation of recovery. RE: Doing a Step 3 - soloadmin - 05-07-2025 * you can substitute your own addictions for "alcohol." SoberLogic is an "all addictions" program. |
