Fundamentals Of SoberLogic What's under the hood and why it's there. Please note that SoberLogic is an ABSTINENCE-BASED program. Those seeking support for moderation or harm reduction may want to look into SMART Recovery, HAMS, Moderation Management, or other programs. A fundamental premise of SoberLogic is that the program is appropriate for those who have always found that they *cannot* stop drinking once they have started - and relapse will occur either immediately or very soon after as the result of "having just one" or other compromises that fall short of total abstinence. Like AA, this is a 12-step program for people who have finally had enough and are ready to face life without turning to addictive behavior for relief or escape, even when life is at its worst. We provide the steps and tools, but you have to provide the work and motivation to put your addiction(s) behind you once and for all. We welcome you to this journey of strength and courage!

![]() Spirituality As A Source Of Inspiration
This is the place to specifically discuss how spirituality, perhaps in the form of a God or "Higher Power" of our own understanding, can support, enhance, and inform the recovery journey. All points of view are welcome here. We do not endorse any particular sect, spiritual tradition, or religious viewpoint - but we do acknowledge the value of "something greater than oneself" for many people in the recovery community. Conversely, we also 100% support and welcome those who don't resonate with any such ideas. In this program, freedom of conscience matters. |

A Higher Power *Of Our Own Understanding* Explore what a Higher Power *of our own understanding* means to you in your own personal recovery journey. If you don't include this concept in your personal path, that is fine; we simply ask that you remain respectful and courteous to those who do. This is a community support feature. It is NOT a place for religious, spiritual, or philosophical debate.

We Agnostics A welcoming place for those who are either unsure about spiritual matters, or opposed to them. Unlike the AA Big Book chapter of the same name, there will be no attempt to convert or change anyone's perspective. Instead, discussion will focus on how to work the SoberLogic program successfully without including any spiritual elements or overtones.
